Precision landing for GOLDBERG & Sons
The innovative beverage company MBG International Premium Brands GmbH, along with Hamburg designer Florian Gerdts (www.g-dn.net), received the coveted “Red Dot”, one of the world’s biggest and most prestigious design awards, for their outstanding design and brand ID for the GOLDBERG range of products.
The Paderborn product branding company MBG came out on top among 508 other exceptionally creative products that were up against about 6,800 submissions. An international jury assesses each product live and on site – only the best are awarded with the quality seal for design each year. “Prosperous brands are always made up of a successful symbiosis between absolute quality and timeless design. We are pleased that the Red Dot jury acknowledged this with GOLDBERG & Sons”, said Cord Hendryck Vinke, MBG Marketing Director.
GOLDBERG: 200 ml of pure style!
According to Red Dot, only those who manage to rise above the masses in competition show great brand potential and economic visibility. Not only the quality, but also the communicative design of a product continues to be developed as a critical brand feature. The visual quality of the stylish 200 ml GOLDBERG bottles sets new standards in the competition among premium mixers. “Along with unique taste, we have taken extra special care with GOLDBERG’s look. This is why we have managed to successfully create a complete package that will be established strongly in the market and beverage scene”, says Sebastian Krellmann, Brand Designer MBG.
Design on Stage
GOLDBERG and the other winners will be honoured in Berlin in October. An exhibition of the winning designs will open at the Berlin Umspannwerk at Alexanderplatz titled, “Design on Stage – Winners Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2013” and will be on display on the 19th and the 20th of October.
The Red Dot Design Award
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s largest design competitions. The contemporary Design Zentrum Nordrein-Westfalen (Design Centre North Rhine-Westphalia) has been awarding outstanding design since 1954. The coveted Red Dot has been established as an internationally recognised quality seal and is awarded in the disciplines of product design, design concept and communication design.
